West DEN is an independent charity based in a rural area of the UK that is going through a period of recession and change. projects include:

Ley of the Land Youth Project which is working with young people to provide employment and business opportunities in sustainable land use.

Rural Skills provides similar support to an older age group, particularly those affected by the Foot and Mouth epidemic.

Getting There lends out motor scooters and provides other help to young people without access to transport for work or training.

Rural Links is a group of projects that sets up exchanges, workshops and other activities that allow practitioners from organisations in Europe and India to learn from each other’s experience and techniques.

Involve is encouraging more young people to vote and to get involved in democratic processes.

The Good Food Project is promoting the production, retail and consumption of healthy, local food.

West DEN Services is our business arm providing professional support to community and other organisations across the region as well as delivering rural skills training. The business side of West DEN is being developed to respond to other consultancy and training opportunities.
